The Joyful Mysteries draw us into the hidden life of Christ and the mystery of the Incarnation. In them we contemplate humility, charity, poverty, obedience, and joy.
These phrases are offered as helps for meditation, and in many cases they are the phrases most commonly used in this apostolate's own practice. You may repeat one phrase through the whole decade, vary them from bead to bead, or use another brief phrase that helps place you within the mystery and remain there.
1. The Annunciation
